As per reports, the Bangkok Air Quality Information Centre reported that the average PM2.5 concentration across Bangkok was 20.3 micrograms per cubic meter as of 0700 hours (local time) on Sunday (11 October), remaining below Thailand’s standard limit of 37.5 micrograms per cubic meter.
Following are the latest updates available:
• Despite the generally favourable air quality, localised variations were recorded across the city. Chatuchak District registered the highest PM2.5 concentration at 27.3 micrograms per cubic meter, followed by Pom Prap Sattru Phai District at 27.0 micrograms per cubic meter and Bang Khun Thian District at 26.8 micrograms per cubic meter.
• Although overall pollution levels remained within the prescribed standard, localised increases in PM2.5 concentrations may cause discomfort for individuals sensitive to air pollution, particularly those undertaking prolonged outdoor activities.
• Further details awaited.
