As per reports, a road blockade demonstration was reported at Maharana Pratap Chowk in Manwat, Maharashtra, in support of Maratha reservation demands on Wednesday (02 September) at 1000 hours (local time).

• Protesters gathered along National Highway 61 (NH 61) at Maharana Pratap Chowk around 1000 hours (local time) on Wednesday (02 September).
• Demonstrators raised slogans and burned tires across the highway, causing vehicular movement on both sides to come to a complete standstill.
• Substantial traffic congestion and long queues of vehicle build up along the highway stretch was reported.
• Police personnel were deployed to Maharana Pratap Chowk to secure the area, monitor the situation, and negotiate with protesters to normalize traffic flow.
