Opposition parties to hold protest march in Thane on Friday (09 October)

As per reports, Opposition parties have announced a protest march towards Thane Police Commissionerate in Thane on Friday (09 October), to highlight the alleged deteriorating law and order situation in Thane in the wake of the murder of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Pradeep Purnekar.

Opposition leaders including former Member of Parliament (MP) and Sena (UBT) leader Rajan Vichare, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) (SP) Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jitendra Awhad and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Avinash Jadhav along with leaders of the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Dharmarajya Paksha and the Republican Party of India (RPI) announced the protest march during a press conference.
