Daily weather update for West Bengal on Sunday (13 September)

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for West Bengal on Sunday (13 September), as per the District-wise forecast PDF documents issued on Saturday (12 September).

• Forecast: A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, very likely to occur at one or two places across all districts of West Bengal. Additionally, heavy rainfall of 07 to 11 centimeters is very likely to occur at one or two places in Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong.
• Nowcast: A yellow alert has been issued for light rainfall of less than 05 millimeters per hour, light thunderstorms, and winds of less than 40 kilometers per hour in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Uttar Dinajpur, and Dakshin Dinajpur. The alert is valid until 0420 hours (local time) on Sunday (13 September).
