As per reports, Ichihara Kokufu Festival Executive Committee announced on Friday (25 September) that the 13th Ichihara Kokufu Festival, scheduled for Saturday – Sunday (3–4 October), has been cancelled.
According to the organisers, damage from heavy rain in Chiba in August and Typhoon No. 25 has resulted in power outages, water supply disruptions and landslides across Ichihara City, affecting residents and the local economy.
• The organisers also cited the forecast approach of Typhoon No. 26 during the scheduled festival weekend and indicated that disaster response, preparedness, public safety and recovery efforts have been prioritised.
