As per the Malaysian Meteorological Department, thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected across parts of Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Johor, Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan on Tuesday (25 August). The Thunderstorm Warning was issued at approximately 1800 hours (local time) on Tuesday (25 August).
• The affected areas include Larut Matang, Selama, Kerian, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim in Perak; Kelantan; Kemaman, Hulu Terengganu, Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu in Terengganu; Bentong, Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Raub, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin in Pahang; Hulu Selangor in Selangor; Muar, Segamat, Johor Bahru, Mersing and Kota Tinggi in Johor; and specified areas of Sarawak and Sabah, as well as Labuan.
• The warning remains in effect until 2100 hours (local time) on Tuesday (25 August).
