The Central Weather Administration issued a swell warning across several monitoring points off the Taiwan coast Sea on Monday (21 September) between 0100 hours (local time) and 0900 hours (local time).
Following are the details:
• A swell warning, indicating wave periods of 08 seconds or longer and significant wave heights of 01.5 metres or greater, has been issued for Chenggong Wave Station and Pratas Buoy.
• Peak wave height recordings reached approximately 02.8 metres at Chenggong Wave Station and 01.6 metres at Pratas Buoy.
• A wave height of 2.5 metres has been observed in Taitung (Chenggong) at approximately 0533 hours (local time).
• There is a chance of long waves occurring on Monday (21 September), along the northern coast of Keelung, the eastern coast including Orchid Island and Green Island, the Hengchun Peninsula, and Matsu.
• No Large Wave Warnings (height 06 metres or greater) were issued in the warning notice.
