Bridge reconstruction announced over the Natete River in the Ribaue district on Thursday (28 August)

As per reports, a bilateral grant agreement was signed on Thursday (28 August) to fund the reconstruction of the Natete river bridge located in Ribáuè district, Nampula province, along the Estrada Nacional Número 13 (N13).

• Reports indicate that the infrastructure project is budgeted at over USD 10,000,000 and aims to improve the circulation of people and commercial goods between Nampula and Niassa provinces.
• Reports suggest that the comprehensive intervention will include the construction of a new resilient bridge structure, enhancement of access roads, and implementation of river bank protection measures.
• Reports further indicate that reconstruction work is scheduled to commence at 0800 hours local time (0600 hours UTC) on Monday (31 August), with project completion anticipated by 1800 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) on 15 December.
